Permanent exhibitsThe Maison de la Vanoise (Vanoise National Park visitor center) has permanent exhibits on the “Salt Road”, historical and remarkable itinerary, and the local fauna that you may encounter in the park.
EducationAll summer long, park rangers will introduce you to Vanoise National Park’s natural treasures.Meet at a mountain hut or on a trail; movie nights include a discussion at the Maison de la Vanoise. Enjoy a friendly atmosphere where the rangers will be thrilled to answer all of your questions. Afternoon sessions specifically reserved for learning about nature through games and objects and led by a Vanoise National Park ranger.Most of these gatherings are free and fully accessible.Maison de la Vanoise has received the “Tourisme et Handicap” label.The schedule is available at the Maison de la Vanoise.
At the base of one of the largest intake pipes for capturing glacier runoff, the Hydraulica Gallery/Tunnel will reveal the secrets of hydroelectricity. In the 19th century, long before ski resorts appeared, its metallurgical and chemical applications allowed the valley to develop through industry.

Champagny-le-Haut’s officially-protected beautiful hanging alpine valley, located at the gateway to Vanoise National Park, was sculpted by glaciers thousands of years ago. Today, still surrounded by these gigantic rivers of ice, this exceptional natural site is home to an interpretive center dedicated to glaciers that includes a fun and interactive exhibit: movies, models, photos, hands-on displays…

Tours around the village organized by "A grande échelle" association. The tour follows the sunniest aspects of our destination and offers you the chance to visit a wide variety of local relics and ruins. The guide knows the ins and outs of Pralognan, and created the tour after several long, in-depth discussions with the village elders.

During the moment of the day when the mountains awaken, come taste a piece of life in an alpine pasture and meet with the farmers who work the land in the Vanoise Range! Audrey and Sylvain are anxiously waiting for you at their alpine pasture in Chapendu, among their herd of goats, to welcome you at milking time. Alpine cheese cellar (17:30-19:30)*In the cheese cellar, discover a wide variety of local cheeses, and then in the village of Prioux, through the enthusiastic instruction of a local farmer, learn how to make delicious “alpine chalet” Beaufort cheese. Enjoy this appetizing stroll and a drink nearby in a lodge!
